Individual coaching sessions for clients who want to discuss, explore, brain storm or seek guidance on specific management issues of concern in a totally non-threatening environment. Issues raised in this context vary greatly but many are of a staff relation nature, how to handle a low performer, how to deal with an impossible boss etc.
Questions of ethics and values are often on the agenda.
I act as a sounding board at times. I get calls unexpectedly from people asking if I have a few minutes, they’d like to run something by me. You might say it’s an “if and when” type of service. On other occasions, we go over extensive plans in preparation for the clients to introduce them to senior management committees or something.
